DESCRIPTION:
Darin is one of the most cruel and unforgiving Gods. He enjoys watching things grow old, seeing them decay before his eyes. He draws a great deal of pleasure from the fact that to him, even the life of an elf is pitifully short. He sees it as his right as a God to rule over the mortals with an iron fist.
Darin resides in an ebony palace on the continent of Darkallia, near the center of Dorariia. Like all of Dorariia, it is a gloomy place that few mortals care to visit. He lives alone, spending most of his time brooding in his throne room.

Darin almost always appears as a very old man, with a long gray beard. At his side is a black staff, and his robes are either black or dark gray. He never shows any kind of kindness or remorse.

Special Weapons:
Staff of Time: This ebony staff is a +2 magical weapon. Anyone struck by it will automatically age 10 years, with no savings throw. Anyone touched by it can also be made 10 years younger, but this effect will only work once per every 10 years per person. Finally, it can cast any of the following spells on command: Choose Future, Age Creature, Skip Day, and Time Freeze (Affected character is frozen in time and cannot move, react, or even think for 1 round per level of the caster).
DUTIES OF THE PRIESTHOOD:
Most people worship Darin because they wish to gain power or wealth. They are granted extremely long life, which they use to destroy the works of the other religions. They will do anything for power; lie, cheat, steal, or kill.

Holy Days: The only holy days are the spring and fall equinox, both of which are celebrated with an all night ceremony.
