Carl the hot dog vendor is a good example of how a villain doesn't have to have superpowers, a cool costume, remarkable intelligence, or maniacal dreams for world domination to make a name for himself in Onaway. All he needs is a job that's degrading enough to push him over the edge.

An elementary-school drop out, the only work poor old Carl could find was selling hot dogs from a cart for the Mr. Weenie corporation. Day after day, he was forced to endure the disgrace and indignity of pushing his cart down main street for minimum wage. After a week and a half of this, who can blame him for turning to a life of crime?

Donning his uniform (which looks kinda like an ice cream vendor, only red and yellow) and wielding such processed meat weapons as a sausage link whip and salami billy club, Carl began to work the streets under his new name of Hot Dog Vendor Guy.

Fortunately for the world at large, HDVG is really lazy. He mostly preys on the elderly, knocking them down and stealing their walkers and/or false teeth. He's more of a bully than a criminal mastermind, and since his crimes very rarely involve anything with monetary value, he still has to sell hot dogs in his spare time. The police would love to nab him, but the Hot Dog Vendor's Union refuses to help (hot dog vendors look out for their own). So once again, the safety of the elderly lies in the hands of our not-so-super hero, BatBrian…
