Sistan
Illiharn created Sistan, and this is supposedly where he created elves as well. It is te 3rd northernmost region on the planet. The northern tip is covered with snow, but the southern areas are in the temperate zone which covers most of the planet's surface.
Sistan is populated primarily by gray elves. Wood elves can also be found, and there is a strong human minority in the south. High elves are not very common here. This area has a reputation for being rather withdrawn from the rest of the world.

GAHANARESH
CAPITAL: Kyress
MAIN POPULACE: Elves, Humans, and Goblin- kin

NATIONAL ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good
GOVERNMENT: Limited Monarchy
ALLIES: Arkenklin, Harnoth
GEOGRAPHY: Gahanaresh lies on the western continent of Sistan. The land is full of rivers and lakes carved by mighty glaciers millennia ago. Coniferous forests on this continent are full of game, but also full of Orcs, Goblins, and other creatures. The northernmost part of this continent is practically tundra where prehistoric beasts roam.
CLIMATE: Most of Gahanaresh has a mild climate. The northern areas have harsh winters and very brief and mild summers. This rapid change in climate is due to a bizarre wind pattern that prevails over most of Karion.
POLITICS: There are only three real nations on this region, and two other nations on Hobus that Gahanaresh can have any contact with. They are on good terms with all and enjoy their mostly peaceful life.
TRADE: Items from the Dwarven empire of Horin are common to this area, as are items from the Elven empire of Ceteratii. These items are commonly traded for other oddities. Trade in "useful" items is rare in this part of the world.
HARNOTH
CAPITAL: Harnoth
MAIN POPULACE: Dwarves, Drow, and Duergar
LANGUAGES: Harnothan*, Arkenklinan*, Darkspeak, Dungleungle, Common, Gahanareshan+
NATIONAL ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good
GOVERNMENT: Monarchy
ALLIES: Gahaneresh, Arkenklin
GEOGRAPHY: Harnoth is similar to Gahaneresh but is much smaller and more rocky. There are fewer lakes and more hills as well. Harnoth is situated just north of Arkenklin.
CLIMATE: Harnoth lies in the temperate region of this continent. Coniferous forests are common, as are heavy snows in winter. However, Harnoth is about as mild as Gahaneresh.
POLITICS: As with Gahaneresh, Harnoth is on good terms with all its neighbors. The only problems it has come from the Drow and Duergar who live deep beneath their cities.
TRADE: As mentioned before, trade in this area is mostly in oddities and souvenirs. These nations are mostly self-sufficient.
ARKENKLIN
CAPITAL: Vival
MAIN POPULACE: About a 50%- 50% mix of humans and other races
LANGUAGES: Arkenklinan*, Harnothan*, Gahnereshan*, Common, all other languages are minorities.
NATIONAL ALIGNMENT: Neutral
GOVERNMENT: Republic
ALLIES: Gahaneresh, Harnoth
GEOGRAPHY: Arkenlin is the southernmost country on Sistan. It is spread across three small, irregular islands which hold a vast variety of humanoid beings. Almost any P.C. race can be from here, with the exception of Felinar (who live only on a small island on Lotarous) and Bilnarko (who hate large groups of people and avoid this nation). The Humans still have a large majority, however.
CLIMATE: This southern nation almost nears a subtropical environment. Thick deciduous forests cover most of the land, although swamps are also common. Warm waters from the equator help increase the temperature further during the summer months.
POLITICS: The main political problems of Arkenklin are interracial relations. With Elves, Dwarves, and Centaurs living side by side with Orcs, Duergar, and Nightmares, tensions are bound to be high. All races are represented in the government, based on population. The human majority tries to keep all other races from destroying themselves and each other.
TRADE: Different races within Arkenklin will have different trade preferences.
